EXCURSION TO SHOGHI (SHIMLA) 22nd to 28th may 2013

Travelling not only entertains us but also improves our knowledge. It educates us, enlightens us and provides us with wonderful first-hand experiences. This summer vacation was an unforgettable experience for the students. To enhance their learning skills a six-day Educational Trip was planned for Shoghi, Shimla which is more than 500 metres above the sea level and 15 kms from Shimla. The students, accompanied by the staff members left for New Delhi on 22nd
May where they visited The Lotus Temple, The National Museum and The Iskon Temple. The next day they started from Delhi by bus at 5:30 AM and arrived Shimla at sunset. The breath taking beauty of the lush green valleys and the snow capped mountain peaks was spectacular. The city of Shimla is draped in forests of tall and elegant Pine, Deodar and Rhododendran trees. During their stay at Shimla they enjoyed the mountainous adventures and activities like Burma Bridge, Rappelling and Fox-flying which were very exciting and thrilling. The group visited Ridge, Mall Road, The Church, Lakkar Bazar, The Jakhoo Temple and places like Naldhura, Kufri and Chail, known for their exotic beauty. The natural beauty and rich culture of Shimla mesmerized the students. The boarding and lodging was arranged at eminent hotels of Chail. On their return journey they visited The Qutab Minar and Gurgaon Shopping Mall at New Delhi.
During their trip the students enjoyed and learnt a lot and they will cherish these memories for years to come.
