SERVICE ABOVE SELF Saturday, 14th September 2013
‘The act of mercy is twice blest. It blesseth him that takes and him that gives’
If something is static in this transitory world it is the traditions which inculcate values which we at TJIS are always proud of treasuring. The atmosphere of love, protection and sanctity our children receive here, the code of morality and the vast field of knowledge with which the school blesses its inbreeds can be found no where else.
From time to time our school involves the students in Social Service i.e. ‘Service above self’ which is rendered by the more fortunate people of the society, selflessly, to the underprivileged. It was a herartfelt scene, when, On Saturday about 100 blind students of ‘And School’ run by ‘National Federation For Blind’ accompanied by their teachers visited The Jain International School on Saturday 14th September 2013 with mutual support of Ms Shreya Kapoor, representing Radio Mirchi. The students of the school were all eager to welcome and escort them.
The students of TJIS presented a short entertainment programme which was followed by the movie ‘STANLEY KA DUBBA’ which they enjoyed a lot.
The selfless service of our students proves that kindness is a language which a deaf can’t hear and the blind can see. It is the very offspring of love which can redirect the world from the path of avarice to one of generosity and compassion.
