Comprehensive and holistic education through a developmental approach is the need of the hour. For a system of education to be considered wholesome it is imperative that games and sports occupy prominent place in the school curriculum. Like-wise, co-curricular activities leading to creative activities pursued happily for rest and relaxation on regular basis go a long way in contributing to the wholesomeness of education. To add all this in a daily schedule, it becomes important for a student to spend longer hours in the school.

Shrinathji Educational and Cultural Trust brought about a revolution in the field of education by gifting The Jain International School, the first Day Boarding School to Kanpur city in 2004 and till date the parents are being benefitted and it has proved to be an asset to them.

To apprise the parents with the Day boarding structure an Orientation Programme was held on Friday, 17^th April 2015. The Principal Mrs Ira Bhat addressed the parents and acquainted them how Day boarding school can promote holistic development of students.On the other hand the direct interaction of the parents with Mrs Chandrani Banerjee, the Junior Wing Principal, the Co-ordinators, Sports-Art & Craft-Music Faculty members, Examination In-charge, Personality Development teacher and Cultural Head satisfied all their queries.

In a nutshell, if the parents and school work hand in hand and fulfil their defined duties a Day Boarding school can surely mould every child into a genius and carve a gem out of them.
