INTER HOUSE EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

Elocution refers to one’s capacity of communicating with others, with the use of exact speech and gestures. It is natural for parents to want their children to speak exceptionally well in school and other places. Keeping this in mind and to enhance oratory skills of students the ‘Inter House English Elocution Competition’ was conducted at The Jain International School on Saturday, 23rd April, 2016.
The event was hosted by Red Jaguars.
The competition was conducted under two Groups –B and C in which two contestants each from all the four houses participated.The participants were given the topic 10 minutes before the event and each one had to speak on the given topic for 2 minutes.
The Anchors for the event HitanshiManwani andSanskritiPurwar held the reigns of the programme very successfully. Yugi Jain and CharuAgarwal were the Time Keepers.
The judges for the event were The Honourable Principal Mr M.K.Panda, Senior School Co-ordinator Mrs Deepa Singh and Middle School Co-ordinator Mrs Rekha Singh. The contestants were judged on the Content, Expression, Diction and Overall Presentation.
The Competition commenced with the good wishes of Principal Sir. Winning the competition was a matter of honour and pride not only for the individual participants but also for the houses. The competition enabled our students to speak with more clarity and finesse and it surely was an enjoyable experience for all those who participated.

All participants performed exceptionally well winning accolades for their houses. The competition gave a lot of encouragement and confidence to the speakers and all present there .The event was culminated with words of encouragement and tips for Public Speaking by Principal Sir. Sir appreciated the efforts of all the contestants, House Members and Cultural Department for their active participation.
