Dussehra Celebration on October 21, 2023

The day of Dussehra serves as a reminder that only truth shall exist and the evil shall perish".
To mark the victory of good over evil, TJIS, Kanpur celebrated the auspicious occasion, Dussehra with immense zeal. The students reached school in traditional dresses and groomed exquisitely.
The celebration commenced at 9:00 am by offering prayer and lighting the lamp to Goddess Durga.
The Pre-Primary students depicted the story behind the celebration of this festival through a musical dance drama conveying the message of ‘Dussehra-Victory of Good over Evil’.The little TJIANS recited the whole Ramayan in a poem.
A quiz session was conducted to polish the knowledge of the students.
The students also enacted Ravana's last teaching to Lakshman.
Thereafter, the Shiv Tandav Stotram sang beautifully by the student which made the audience spellbound.
Our honourable Principal Mrs. Deepa Singh apprised the students about the importance of the festival and applauded the students for their mesmerizing performance. Thereafter, the commemoration of Aarti started by offering prayers to Navadurga, followed by the music and the steps of Garba and Dandiya very devotedly with their hearts out, creating a vibrant show followed by Ravan Dehan.
