A Visit to the Zoo

“We have more to learn from animals than animals have to learn from us”

The Jain International School organized an Educational Trip to The Allen Forest Zoo, Nawab Ganj, Kanpur, for the students of Classes Play Group to V on 10th December, 2019.

Zoo is one of the most enthusing and delightful places that children love to go and visit. It is a place not only for entertainment but has an educational value added to it. The Allen Forest Zoo has a large number of different kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and snakes which are kept in cages and are most carefully looked after. All the students were extremely excited as the visit provided the students hands on experience of what they see learn about in their text books. The tiny tots enjoyed the chattering of the monkeys, twittering of the birds, hissing of the snakes and lions roaring behind fences. The teachers guided them and shared various vital facts about the animals they saw at the Zoo.

The last lap of the trip was lying on the dry grass, enjoying soothing sunlight and having lunch. It was an enriching experience and the children felt that they visited a new world. It was a place of recreation as well as learning. Overall it was a day well spent which gave our students wonderful memories to cherish throughout the session.
