On Dec 12, 2019, The Jain International School proudly organized the Second Edition of Inter House Model United Nations. TJIS MUN instituted to educate students about factual accuracy, public speaking, debate, diplomacy, problem-solving, adherence to rules, persuasive writing and teamwork.

The students of The Jain International School have proven one more time in a row that their zeal to multitask is never low. After hosting a successful Mega-Premier Event they put together their efforts in organizing the second edition of Inter House Model United Nations. They put forward their views at agendas consisting of The Gulf War of 1991 and the Article 370 of the Constitution of India.

The conference officially commenced with the opening ceremony at 8:30 a.m. and was then followed by eloquence and discussion that the delegates processed. Honourable Principal Mr. M. K. Panda declared the event open.The delegates, with credence could achieve the basics of Parliamentary Procedure, Resolution and Position Paper Writing. There was a noticeable change in the students’ demeanour as they opened to the session of debate. Shedding their laid back attitudes and instead donning a professional and serious manner, they transformed into delegates who represented the countries as well as renowned world leaders. The delegates caught on actively, made motions, enunciated speeches and exercised impressive diplomacy during caucuses.

The awards presented in closing ceremony were well deserved. Honourable Principal, Senior and Little Champs Headmistress felicitated ‘The Best Delegate’ and ‘High Accommodation Delegates’. The delegates made the mindboggling situations seem real, which made it more interesting and fun.

The Executive Board Member for Lok Sabha was Shaurya Sharad Shukla.

Anjali Bhojwani and Kalpana Raikwar were designated Security Generals for United Nationa Security Council.

The Results were as follows:

I.                   LOK SABHA 

1.      BEST DELEGATE – Mohd Ahad

2.      HIGH ACCOMMODATION– Prakhar Chandel

 

II.                UNITED NATIONS  SECURITY COUNCIL

3.      BEST DELEGATE – Vedansh Jaiswal

4.      HIGH ACCOMMODATION –  Kratika Singh

 

At this conference, the students learned about the importance of coming together to achieve a common goal in the true spirit of the United Nations. TJIS MUN delegates modeled the importance of diplomacy creating an atmosphere not of individual competition, but of group understanding and overall improvement. After leaving no stone unturned, TJIS MUN 2019 was an immense success with a wonderful experience. The Jain International School is proud to spread enthusiasm for their second edition of Model United Nations to the young audience. TJIS team is yet eager to summit the hattrick in the coming session.

The anchors for the event were Akanksha Panda and Astha Patel. The event was successfully hosted by Blue Panthers.
