“Kite  Making  Activity “

At Little champs,TJIS Kanpur,

On  Tuesday, 14th January  2020,

“Don't be afraid of opposition. Remember, a kite rises against, not with, the wind.”

Makar Sankranti is the date from which Northwards movement of the sun begins. The period from Karka Sankranti to Makar Sankranti is known as the Dakshinayan.

The kite festival, called Uttarayan in Hindi, celebrates the day that winter ends and summer begins, as well as the upcoming harvest season, and the kites symbolize the spirits of the Gods that are awaking from their deep winter sleep to flourish and boost mankind.

The tiny tots of Pre Primary, Little Champs of TJIS celebrated  this auspicious  festival of Makar Sankranti on Tuesday, 14th January, 2020, by making beautiful  kites. This activity offered the little artists an opportunity to give wings to their imagination and creativity with the assistance of their teachers. Basking in the sun and making beautiful kites was really thrilling. It was an hour buzzing with activity when the students enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
